In
1973 , Dockendale Shipping Co Ltd.,was incorporated to operate the two ships,Attica
and Athol. The Company was named Dockendale Farm in Scotland.Later in 1974,
Dockendale dormant.Its two ships were bareboat chartered to Japanese operators
so as to compete with clients , and Mr.Fernandes was brought into the G.T.R.Campbell
office as resident surveyor for new buildings in Tokyo.He was promoted to Principal
Surveyor and remained in that position unitl 1985.When Japanese Shipbuilders
could no longer be competitive on the world market and Dockendale became operators
again and office was moved to Nassau in the Bahamas.Today Mr.Fernandes is president
and chief executive officer of Dockendale Shipping Company Limited.
